Rent Lottery

S2 Foundation began giving back to residents in tandem with S2 Residential in December 2018, with monthly raffles for free rent. No essays needed, no likes on social media, we believe everyone can use a hand up sometimes. Once a smaller operation, S2 Residential has now expanded its properties and subsequent rent drawings up to 43! The Rent Lottery campaign continues to grow alongside our foundation to include other aspects of philanthropy, as our passion for giving back begins at home.

Community Support

Our support has included partnership and/or sponsorship with Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center, Jonathan’s Place, Dallas Mav’s Foundation, and Children’s Cancer Fund.

Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center coordinates the investigation, prosecution and healing services for the most severe cases of child abuse in Dallas County. DCAC serves over 7,300 children (and their non-offending family members) who were sexually abused, severely
physically abused, or who had witnessed a violent crime. The passion that drives this group to continue their philanthropy has inspired us to join them for toy drives, fundraising events, and donations. Scott Everett currently serves on the board of directors for DCAC.

Dallas Mavs Foundation is another nonprofit we love to support, and not just for the love of the game. Over the past 24 years, the Mavs Foundation has provided grant funding totaling more than $5 million dollars to nonprofit organizations serving women, children and families in need. In addition to grants, the Mavs Foundation has built 44 safe Learn & Play spaces throughout the North Texas community, including 26 basketball courts and 18 Reading & Learning Centers. These spaces are designed to encourage healthy living and provide a safe place for children and residents, as well as expand learning opportunities and access to technology to support youth
education programs, teen and adults job-skill training and other critical programs. S2Foundation gives annually to the Mavs Foundation as a Silver Partner for their Dallas Mavs Ball and Auction.

Children’s Cancer Fund champions kids in their fight against cancer through strategic investments in research and care in North Texas. By working closely with these healthcare organizations, they can strategically focus funds on improving treatment and care methods for
North Texas children who are affected by all types of pediatric cancer. In addition, Children’s Cancer Fund helps to improve the quality of lives, bringing families who are going through treatments together, through social events throughout the year. S2 Foundation contributes to Children’s Cancer Fund annually and has sponsored the CCF Gala as a Beam Level Partner.

The Jaylon Smith Minority Entrepreneurship Institute (MEI) is the premier agency connecting impact investors to quality and meaningful minority owned investment opportunities. In an effort to help close the economic and educational gap in minority communities, MEI serves to inspire hope, provide capital, and actively support minority entrepreneurs. Scott Everett, in part with S2 Foundation, sits on a panel with other Texas business execs, to guide and support MEI candidates in their business efforts.
