SCOTT EVERETT
FOUNDER & CEO
Scott Everett founded the S2 Group in 2012 to acquire and redevelop multifamily real estate and now serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the Investment Manager. In the past 11 years as CEO of S2 Capital, he has built a real estate investment company that has transacted in $10 billion of multifamily assets totaling over 45,000 units with over 600 employees across four operating companies. Scott is a recipient of the Inc. Magazine 30 under 30 award, the Dallas Business Journal 40 under 40, and Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year for the 2018 Southwest region. He is an active investor and board member for multiple early-stage companies and enjoys being involved in the growth of early-stage ventures. He also contributes significant time and resources to various local charities and serves on the board of Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center (DCAC) and Children’s Cancer Fund (CCF). He is an active member of TREC, NMHC, Real Estate Roundtable and is on the board of the North Texas Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO). Scott is married with four children and lives in Dallas, Texas.
MEGAN KNAUSS
CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
Megan Knauss joined S2 Capital in 2015 and now serves as the Chief Financial Officer of the Investment Manager and is a member of its Executive Management team. In this capacity, she is responsible for all debt, equity, tax and oversight of the accounting function for S2 Capital and its managed properties. During her tenure with S2 Capital, Megan Knauss has been involved in the acquisition and refinance of over $10 billion of transaction volume. Prior to joining S2 Capital, Megan was a manager in the transaction services advisory group at PwC and began her career in PwC’s assurance group. Megan is a Certified Public Accountant and graduated summa cum laude with both her Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in accounting from Texas Tech University.
MARC EVERETT
CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER
Marc Everett joined S2 Capital in 2014 and now serves as the Chief Operating Officer of the Investment Manager and is a member of its Executive Management team. Marc was the first executive hire for the S2 Group and has been instrumental in scaling the company’s operations, asset management and construction platforms. He has overseen $497 million in capex improvements across 44,000 units. He manages all respective business plan executions and dispositions for the assets. He has helped execute $2.2 billion in dispositions on over 19,000 units, as well as over $1 billion of refinance volume during his time with the S2 Group. Marc graduated from Texas Tech with a degree in Finance. Marc is an active member of The Real Estate Council (TREC) and was a member of the 2021 Associate Leadership Council (ALC).
DARCI EURICH
CHIEF PEOPLE OFFICER
Darci joined S2 Capital in November 2016 and now serves as Chief People Officer. As CPO, Darci leads S2’s human capital, talent development, and employee experience strategies. Darci’s passion lies in the creation and implementation of strategic people initiatives, the cultivation of a positive and inclusive organizational culture, and empowering employee growth and development. Darci believes that S2’s most valuable assets are our people and is committed to fostering a vibrant company culture centered around our Core Values. Darci holds a SHRM-CP certification and Bachelor of Science degree from Texas Tech University.
JENNA ROWLEY
CHIEF COMPLIANCE OFFICER & GENERAL COUNSEL
Jenna Rowley joined S2 in March 2021 and is responsible for supervising all legal and compliance matters. Prior to joining S2, Jenna was a senior associate in the Real Estate and Banking group at Thompson & Knight LLP (now known as Holland & Knight LLP) and began her career as an associate in the Global Projects group at Baker Botts LLP. She has represented public and private real estate companies in a broad range of complex commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, financings, recapitalizations, fund formations and development projects. Jenna graduated summa cum laude from Southern Methodist University with Bachelor’s degrees in Business Management and Philosophy and received her J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law.
PATRICK CONNELL
MANAGING DIRECTOR, HEAD OF CAPITAL FORMATION
Patrick Connell is Head of Capital Formation & Investor Relations at S2 Capital. Before joining S2, Patrick was Managing Director and Head of Capital Raising at L&L Holding Company, where he was responsible for establishing over $1.8 billion of joint ventures and strategic partnerships with major institutional investors during his four years at the real estate firm. Before joining L&L, Patrick was a Principal at Riverstone Holdings for more than six years, raising over $15 billion in capital for numerous private real asset funds and credit funds and managing existing relationships with institutional investors, including pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, family offices, endowments, and foundations. Before joining Riverstone, Patrick was at Partners Group, where he was responsible for fundraising and investment origination, and at J.P. Morgan Private Bank, where he started his career. Patrick earned his MBA from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business and his Bachelor of Science in Finance from Boston College.
